Noreen Khan
Registered Psychotherapist, MACP

Trauma can leave lasting emotional, psychological, and even physical effects that continue long after a distressing experience has ended. Whether you've experienced a motor vehicle accident, childhood trauma, abuse, grief, relationship trauma, or another overwhelming life event, healing is possible. I offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, an evidence-based approach recognized worldwide for treating trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR helps the brain process distressing memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming, allowing clients to move forward without remaining "stuck" in past experiences. My approach to EMDR is individualized and integrated with other evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs), and the Gottman Method when relationship dynamics are contributing to emotional distress. This integrative approach allows treatment to be tailored to your unique experiences, goals, and pace. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where you feel understood and empowered throughout your healing journey. Together, we will work to reduce the emotional impact of painful memories, strengthen your resilience, and help you reconnect with a greater sense of confidence, balance, and well-being.

Youssef Shehata
Registered Psychotherapist

Iโ€™m a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and I have a particular interest in trauma, EMDR, and understanding how past experiences can continue to affect us in the present.

For me, EMDR is not just about simply reducing the intensity of a difficult memory. Iโ€™m also interested in what sits underneath the experience, how it shaped the way you see yourself, your relationships, and the world around you. Sometimes, things that happened years ago can still show up in the way we react, think, or relate to others without us fully realizing where those patterns come from.

My approach is influenced by EMDR as well as psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, attachment-based, and DBT approaches. I like taking the time to understand the bigger picture rather than focusing only on the symptoms.

My goal is to help you make sense of what youโ€™ve been through, work through what may still be affecting you, and develop a greater sense of understanding and control in your life.

Nisha Thakker
Registered Psychotherapist, EMDR Therapist

As a Registered Psychotherapist and EMDR Therapist, I provide EMDR therapy to support teens and adults who are experiencing trauma, anxiety, distressing memories, and other experiences that continue to affect their emotional well-being.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based approach that can help individuals process distressing experiences and reduce the emotional impact associated with them. Through a safe, structured, and collaborative process, EMDR can support clients in developing a greater sense of calm, confidence, and emotional resilience.

I have completed EMDR Basic Training and some advanced EMDR trainings, including EMDR 2.0, Flash-forward, and EMD Bomb. I am currently working toward EMDR certification through EMDRIA. I incorporate EMDR into my practice when clinically appropriate and aligned with each client's goals, needs, and readiness. My approach is compassionate, client-centered, and paced according to each individual's needs.

I believe that healing is a personal process, and my role is to create a safe and supportive space where clients can work through difficult experiences, process distressing memories, and move toward meaningful change.
